I've been racing boats since I was a kid and analysing businesses since university. Both reward the same habits: prepare properly, read the conditions, and adjust early.
In short
Hi, I'm Egemen.
I'm a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with a Management Information Systems background and 7+ years in tracking, analysis and process optimization across digital traffic, retail, food delivery and e-commerce. I work with everyone from engineers to the C-level, and I care most about making data accessible: the right number, to the right person, at the moment they decide.
On the water, I've raced national and international regattas since 2004, from Optimists and Lasers to Farr 40s, One Tonners and a Farr 55 offshore. I've taught sailing at Fenerbahçe SC, led week-long flotillas along Turkey's south coast every year since 2013 (40+ so far), and served as an official race referee for the Turkish Sailing Federation.

Cross-regional OKR analysis, competitive benchmarking and weekly performance reporting for regional directors and market managers. Led the data side of company-wide quarterly business reviews. Applied ML (random forest) to find growth opportunities by country, and made strategy frameworks self-serve for central and local teams.

Ran BI for business development OKRs. Introduced Jira to the BI team to cut planning overhead, and built the Tableau strategy that tackled a high-MOV / delivery-fee problem with the Sales Director.

Qualified as an RYA Coastal Skipper, an internationally recognised skipper licence, on top of the Turkish Certificate of Competence for Operators of Pleasure Craft (held since 2012).

Worked directly with the CFO and CTO. Sales forecasts at 97% accuracy for P&L and budget planning, A/B tests with product managers, and conversion quick wins. Re-shaped the ad-sales process with the strategy team, contributing to ad revenue growth.

Moved from dinghies to Platu 25, Corby 33, First 34 and MAT 1010 as helmsman and main trimmer, then on to Farr 40, One Tonner, A35, First 40, Farr 55 and custom boats in inshore (10–40 nm) and offshore (50–300 nm) races. Multiple trophies in Istanbul's racing series with a professional team.

First sailing licence and first race at the regional cup in Ayvalık, followed by national and international Optimist and Laser regattas with Karşıyaka SC until 2011.
